Went there for Valentine's. Paid $140 for 2 people
My date: pri fixe $60 meal valentine special
Me: Ribs + goose liver
Drinks: 1 glass red wine + jack/coke
Entrees came around 45-55 minutes after the appetizer and my friend's sorbet. manager offered to give the drinks for free.
goose liver was excellent, soft tender, grilled to perfection, melt in your mouth
ribs $24.00: got only 4 small pieces, way over salted.
my date go a lobster tail + head/shell...steamed + salted.
Other than the ambience, I really don't know what's special about this place, small portions, nothing spectacular, good service, that's it!
sorbet was excellent, can smell and taste the fresh tangerine juice.
My question is this. You spend over $100 for 2 people easily in SF these days. But..you don't get much. Now i don't feel bad spending $60-$90 for 2 people for sushi. You feel really good afterwards.
