Abalone or??? what have I got

I just bought a half a kilo of what I was told is abalone. However, it doesn't look like the abalone I am familiar with. Rather than a large steak it is small rounds with holes in the middle that don't go all the way through. I bought this locally in southern Baja. Is it perhaps conch? Any ideas how I should cook it? All help appreciated.
