Let me start by saying that I’ve been to A16 several times and it has been one of our favorite restaurants. Also the other dishes we had this time were very good. The meatballs were light and tasty in a flavorful sauce, and the Arugula Salad with figs and pecans was unusual, interesting and ultimately satisfying.
We have often seen the pizzas that look good being served at tables near us, and decided to try the Sausage and Green Onion Pizza this time. It was obviously baked in a wood oven with a charred slightly smoky flavor. However most of the green onions were charred beyond recognition, and the sausages while very tasty were a bit too sparse. The worst part was the crust. The crust was so thin that the consistency was more like a cracker than the nice chewiness of a good pizza. There was nosauce on this particular pizza, and it was kind of bland as a result.
We will definitely be back to A16, but will avoid the pizzas in the future.
