Hi guys,

I'm a boston chowhound, Coming to NYC THIS weekend and staying at the Wall St Inn, down in the Financial District. (9 south william street) I realize this area tends to be a bit more quiet during the weekend..Any suggestions for the following:

- A place to grab a casual meal when we arrive in on Fri eve, it will probably be on the later side, 9ish.
Walking a bit is fine...can we walk to say, Chinatown or Little Italy from there? I know it's downtown but I'm sort of clueless how far other areas that are also "downtown" are from each other...

- A spot for brunch/breakfast on Sunday. Again, does not need to necessarily be in this area, but somewhere potentially close enough to walk.

I tend to like really good food in casual surroundings...more bistro-style fare; love Italian and more bistro-style French.

Went to Bubby's once for brunch and though I found it sort of cute and I liked the menu, I really didn't think it was anything special, and wasn't so sure it was worth the long wait and high check at the end of the meal. I loved "Good enough to eat" on Amsterdam Ave when I was last there, visiting a friend on the Upper W Side. But obviously I'll be on the total other end of town, so am looking for something along those lines. We also ate at a really good, unpretentious, little Italian spot near there - Celeste - which I loved. Wouldn't mind hitting a place like that Fri night (we've already got plans Sat night)

TIA for your help!
