Had a great appetizer selection at the No 9 Park bar last night. My husband got the fresh bacon dish, a nice slab of meaty bacon seared, served with a wonderful reduction sauce of wine/ port and mustard seeds. I had the foie gras terrine, with figs. As always, the best dish of the night was the oysters on the half shell - they always seem to have the best oysters - these were from the Pacific region and were a little briny at first, but creamy on the finish, and very meaty. My only tiny gripe of the night? The service was not up to par... we have always had excellent, above par service... until last night. But we will be going back and awaiting Barbara Lynch's new place.
