No. 9 Park Help

bostondiner | Jan 27, 201110:42 AM

My parents are watching my old year old daughter so that I can attend a work function with my husband next Friday. The function is from 5:30 to 7:30. We have a gift certificate to No. 9 Park so we thought that we'd go there for a nice dinner afterwards. I just went on open table and it said that reservations were restricted during the time that we'd likely go-- should I call the restaurant? Is the bar first come, first serve? Do people prefer the bar or the restaurant? Are there any not-miss dishes? Finally, I'm pregnant with my second. I probably will not have anything alcoholic to drink-- should we save this gift certificate for a time where we can go and have dinner with wine pairings? Thanks in advance for all your expert help!
