9 Days in Manhattan

I will be spending nine days in NYC in a couple of months and need some help to fill up my trip with fabulous food. I will be staying near Little Italy/Soho so I am especially interested in spots near there as well as nearby neighborhoods(or in places which are an easy subway ride from there). Since I will be staying there so long, I will need to focus on reasonably-priced meals for the most part, although I would also welcome suggestions for the occasional splurge or two. I will definitely be going to Prune (had brunch there on my last trip and would like to try dinner this time). I also tried Babbo and Spice Market last time (loved Babbo and was underwhelmed by the Spice Market) so would prefer recommendations for new places to try, as well as specific dishes which are good. I will also be visiting the usual museums (MoMA, MMA, Museum of Natural History) with my nine year old son who will be with me for the first part of the trip (luckily, he is very game and doesn't demand that we eat in kid-type places) so would appreciate recommendations near those spots.I'm sure all of this has been well-covered in previous postings so if anyone could direct me to the right links it would be much appreciated.
