Ah, rlm, in answer to your question...
I thought it was good--not great, but good. Service was terrific, funny, accommodating, but not overbearing. I had the escovitch fish; menu description didn't reveal that the fish would be fried, and I'm pretty sure the filets had been frozen. Still, it was fine, the spicy vinaigrette (escovitch) was spot-on, and both the black-bean studded rice and the fried plantains were done really well. I had a taste of Claire's tofu & callaloo, and actually preferred her choice to mine, but I'll leave it to her to provide the details.
Bread pudding after was solid if not revelatory.
And the place is very warm & cute.
