Hi. I'm responsible for making a 70th birthday dinner reservation (8 people) for my VERY picky mother-in-law. Tried Gary Danko (she just bought a client a gift cert for Danko but has never been herself) but the private room is booked. This woman will spend money, but expects everything to be HER way in return: no loud background music, always requests a different table than the one she's given, often asks to "split" plates or wants a slightly larger version of a first course as a main, etc. My father-in-law wants a true special occasion place (he's renting a limo for the eve) and I've thought perhaps Fleur de Lys or La Folie (always wanted to try, and see they've made Bauer's top list today) -- anyone have any suggestions? Thanks very much.
