7 Numbers on Danforth

Frances in Toronto | Nov 20, 2005 07:13 AM

hello all

i went to 7 Numbers on Danforth last night as part of a group of 12 people and just wanted to post a quick review.

We all ahd the set dinner which cost $27 each, and was promised "tons" of food... however, the main course portion was extremely disappointing. The antipasti and pasta were adequate in size for a group of 12 but the main courses were like sampling sizes. Is it that $27 doesn't buy much these days (that didn't include tax/tip/drinks, and definitely no dessert)? My "Rosa's Ossobucco" came with all of mostly a bit of veggies in the two tablespoons of stew on the plate, and two bites of actual meat. It was a real disappointment.

Perhaps the set dinner isn't the way to go here... or are the portions generally small to make the menu look more affordable? None of us left very full at all, in fact we all left hungry. I was definitely not impressed, especially when the waitstaff said it was going to be "tons of food". Argh.
