"We have a number of exciting programs coming up with the Sustainable Business Network of MA!
The 5th Annual Massachusetts Eat Local Month is a statewide campaign that educates both restaurants and the general public on the benefits of sourcing food from within our local food system - using ingredients from Massachusetts first. We hope you can join us for our upcoming tour of Eastie Farm on Saturday, Aug. 7 at 4 pm. Other events throughout the month include a tour of ReVision Urban Farm on Sunday, Aug. 22, and a Short Film Screening at the Brattle Theater on Wednesday, Aug. 25.
August is your chance to 'eat local' at your favorite restaurant, learn where your food comes from, shop at a farmers' market, join a CSA, and get involved in supporting and strengthening our local food systems. Download the newly released Eat Local MA mobile app today to find local food and farms near you!
Finally, we're not too far from the return of our 11th Annual Boston Local Food Festival on Sept. 19 at the Rose Kennedy Greenway. We're so excited to once again be bringing together New England food producers for this family-friendly event. Want to learn more? Visit our website or get involved! Join us as a vendor, volunteer, or sponsor..
We hope you can join us in supporting the New England local food scene!
All the best,
Local Food Program Coordinator
