Yesterday I went on a driving around search for new places in South Central and found a place I want to highly recommend. It's called "Perdue's Q, Ribs on the Run." The address is 5011 South Western on the corner of 51st Street. They opened in November and it seems no one else has discovered them yet. Unlike most ribs places in South Central, it's not just take out. I hate rushing home with take-out ribs so it's grea to eat at the place. Of course, the place has zero ambience. You sit at backyard style round tables in an over lit room that looks like a place that would hold a church social, but every one is really nice and if you're eating ribs why would you want ambience anyway? It's all family owned, the dad makes the ribs, the mom the sides, the daughter and daughter-in law run the register. The baby back ribs were tender and delicious. The hot sauce was not at all spicy. I got it, fearful it might be Leo's BBQ hot. It's pretty mild, but good. The greens were outstanding. Most times greens seem to be overcooked, tasteless or chewy and you can forget how good they can be. These were fresh and tender.
Anyway, that's all. I look forward to how others enjoy this place.
