5-Star Punjabi Diner

My boyfriend and I had a longstanding argument about whether or not to try the 5 Star Punjabi Diner. We live in the neighborhood and he always insisted that it seemed too sketchy, shoved up against the wrecked cars and emitting that strange blue glow. After months of urging him to be more adventurous, that it was fine, a hidden gem, etc. etc., we finally tried it. It was great. Cheap, excellent Indian food. I was vindicated, my boyfriend acknowledging my superior nose for chowhound hidden treasure. We were so excited to have good food so nearby in an otherwise barren neighborhood that we got dinner there again the following week. I woke up the next morning with a nasty case of food-poisoning. Now, we shared all the dishes we ate and he was absolutely fine, no complaints. Even ate the leftovers later in the week. The tables have now turned and I am the one hesitant to return. There seems to be an outside chance that it was something else I ate at an earlier meal, but I'm a tad bit nervous. So, what I'm wondering is whether anyone can share their experiences with this establishment. I would love to hear from a few people who can say they've eaten there dozens of times with no gastrointestinal problems whatsoever, so I can continue to enjoy outstanding, convenient food. But I'd also like to know if anyone has had a similar experience.
