5 Nights in Paris- Girls Trip

kpretamanger | May 13, 201510:44 AM

Hi all!

My two best girlfriends and I will be in Paris for four nights at the end of July then the night of August 1st after returning from Italy.

We are coming from NYC and are all frequent visitors to Paris. Would love your feedback on my choices below, as well as if you have any substitutions based on my shortlist, or others.

We are not interested in the fancy fancy, but love great atmosphere, food + drinking. During past trips, I've loved Les Papilles, Frenchie + Frenchie Wine Bar, Le Dauphin, Les Cocottes, Jeanne A, La Mascotte, etc. I also don't want every night to be the same sort of cuisine, so if I have done so, please alert me!

Top 5:

Chez L'ami Jean-(will there be enough for my non meat eating friend to try?)

Pirouette-I sent someone from my office here per your recs and they loved it

Au Passage-I figure this will be a nice mix up with small plates and more casual vibe?

Chez Georges-family tradition, will be nice to have a classic French meal before Italy

Mary Celeste-our last night in Paris we will probably want to just have light bites after being in Italy and want to celebrate...

Bones (not that keen on tasting menus for this trip)
Clamato (not that keen on no reservations)
Semilla (not that keen on no reservations)
Paul Bert
Juveniles (would love a comparison vs. Piroutte)
Clown Bar
Chez Josephine Dumonet
Ellsworth (I have been to Hidden Kitchen/Verjus, thought maybe could do lunch here?)

I'm excited to be with my girlfriends on this trip as I frequently go with family/large groups for work/people with strict eating situations so I would like to use this trip to try restaurants I have never been to, as opposed to the past, where I would go to Spring, Frenchie, Entrecôte, Chez Janou (places I knew I could count on for the group!)

Thanks so much for your thoughts!
