$40 a day on the train

Hi A group of friends have planned a trip around LA taking the "subway"

We limited ourselves to $40 per person for lunch and dinner.

For lunch things like sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, or pizza is fine.

For dinner almost anything.

But all restaurants need to be within walking distance, within a mile or so, of a train stop and we can't spend more than $40 per person.

We are starting out in Long Beach and thought about going to Philippe by Union Station but everybody in our group of ten have eaten at Philippe.

So any suggestions would be great.
