i'm looking for a range of places to try,price-wise and in terms of cuisine-- I want some truly memorable chow experiences!
I've already booked lunch at Union Square Cafe. I could do one more high-end place... considering Babbo's.. would it still be good for the offal-impaired? What might be another option (Per Se is kinda out of my budget). Seriously good food, worth every penny kind of place.
What's a really good French Bistro? Looking for classic steak frites, escargot, creme caramel, and some good moderately priced wine.
chinese-- where would i go for great peking duck? also, really good dim sum in chinatown? any chinatown recs would be appreciated. i'm already planning on grand sichuan, is the branch in chelsea the one to hit?
little italy-- my family will want to go there at least once. what sticks out from the usual red sauce places? i've heard great things about angelos, but tales of horrible service.
sylvias-- total tourist trap or worth a trip? i would love to try some really good authentic soul food.
finally, i swear, this is the absolute last one... what are some good pre-theater options?
thanks in advance!
