Hi, I'm from Los Angeles, heading to Salt Lake City for the first time next weekend. I'll be there Thursday through Sunday. I will be spending my time in downtown/Temple Square, University area, going to spiral jetty, hiking Mount Olympus, and a day trip to Park City if I have time.

Living in LA I have access to so much food diversity. On this trip, I really want to go to places that are or that have food that is unique to Salt Lake City, cuisines that are specifically strong/well done in Salt Lake City, or places that has an interesting ambiance or feature. In the absence of that, solid chow-worthy food is great too.

I'm also wondering if it's necessary to make a reservation for a single person.

I was recommended Forage and Mazza by a friend, which have been confirmed on this board. I also understand that I MUST go to Red or Blue Iguana for Mexican, which despite living in LA, I will totally do.

I am looking for lunch and dinner recommendations. I'd especially like a lunch recommendation for the Temple area and one for the University area, if possible.

Also, if there are any good cocktail bars and/or wine bars with good bar eats, I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

Mazza
