4 Caminos scouting report

Someone asked about 4 Caminos Mexican restaurant in Oakland's Fruitvale district a few days ago, so yesterday when I was in the neighborhood I dropped in to check it out. I hadn't planned on ordering anything, but eventually decided to get a "small" pozole (available weekends only). The pozole was good: a bowl heeped with chunks of fork-tender pork, still on the bone (pork shoulder, maybe?) and hominy in a chile-spiked broth (not as good as Mi Lindo Yucatan, but servicable once doctored from the accompanying plate of additions).

What really startled me was that this plate, in addition to chopped onions, chiles, herbs and lime included three ... taquitos?: small corn tortillas folded into half-moons around a choripapa filling and fried. Delicious! Anyone know what the correct name for these is and why they were served with the pozole?
