Now that the SF chowhounds have set me straight on Hang Ha, a debate over Yank Sing and Harbor Village (I noticed no one mentioned City View), I have another quest. I used to go to Dewey's at the St. Francis to watch my beloved 49ers. Dewey's of course is gone along with it's wonderful soup and sandwich bar (and it certainly was reasonable). So now where do I go short of the alternative offered to my wife that I would just go ddown to the wharf, pick up some wine and a couple of cracked crabs and watch the game in our room. As for the ongoing dim sum debate a Chinese friend of mine, born in the Bay Area, and who still has family up there, tells me that the real stuff is in the restaurants in the Avenues. Care to comment on that?
