3 Squares lunch in SD

Sabra | Sep 24, 200407:32 PM

For the second time I went today with Phee to the 3 Squares -- Gourmet on the Go -- on Del Cerro Blvd, next to Windmill Farms. I ordered the Steak and Provolone Panini with Chimichurri Sauce, and Phee had the Panini Caprese with 3 Squares' Pesto. We each tasted the other, said we would share 1/2 and 1/2, but both of us enjoyed our own so much that we stayed with it! It was really mouth watering.

The first time I was there I got a take-out of French Baguette, Proscuitto, butter and scallion oil. I took a bite in the car just to taste it and finished the whole thing while enjoying route 15!

They also specialize in "dinner packages" that change daily. I haven't tried that, but they looked great. Phee found it tough to pass up on dessert, however, she did have a special iced coffee -- Mayan Mocha -- that was superb.

Highly recommend 3 Squares, M-F 6:30 am - 7:30 pm and Saturday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Closed Sundays.

We didn't ask, but the breakfast menu looked so good we were tempted to order that for lunch!
