Going with hubby for a 3 day getaway to Paris next week (our 3rd time there). We will be there Friday - Sunday. For Saturday, I was able to reserve Spring, which comes highly recommended on this board. Question - since the chef is American, will it take away from our experience? i.e. would the style be too similar to something we can get back home? As a reference point, recently went to EMP and simply loved it!
Tried to reserve Piere Gagnier for Friday but they are all booked up, unfortunately. We love good food and ambiance is as important as the food (we are in mid 30's) so a more 'happening' place would be interesting - would appreciate any suggestions.
Will be staying at the Westin Vendome - any suggestions for bistros nearby? Breakfast places? - being within walking distance is important.
For Sunday we are thinking Robuchon St Germain - been to the London one and really enjoyed it at the bar. How does it compare to the one in Paris?
