3 days in North Lake Tahoe? Dinners, coffee, bakeries, lunch? Jackrabbit Moon--where else?

meganinlosfeliz | Sep 14, 201502:46 PM     7

Hi, we are visiting my brother--in-law in North Lake Tahoe this weekend. He is in Truckee and we will be renting in Carnelian Bay. We would like to do some food research b/c on our next trip lots of family will be joining and I'd like to put together a comprehensive best-eats list based at least in part on what we were able to try ourselves. With the new chowhound format, very little is coming up in the searches.

Last time we really enjoyed Trokay (and Stella, but no longer an option). We went to Jackrabbit Moon 3 yrs ago and I'd like to go there again, as well as 2 new places we have not been to before.

Also looking for lunch recommendations and coffee/espresso recommendations.

Is anywhere good other than CoffeeBar in Truckee? If not, we will stick w/ that place.

Finally, any stellar bakeries? Other hidden gems?

Thanks so much.

Trokay
