2nd Weekend of JazzFest_life is full of trade-offs

Well it is starting already.

My friend who I am going to JF with (her 2nd time in NOLA) is more the music junkie and, although I like the music I can feel it coming: I will constantly be thinking about where to dine and drink once we've cleaned up. Yum. Can't help myself.

Tension building already (she will want budget fare?) but you know I am just going to put it out there: this is what I do when I come to NOLA -- and I will get no argument from this Board.

Good news: coming back in October with an uber-foodie and big drinker!

So here is May outline, a few in deference to my pal, and almost all (during JF) at 8:30 or later. We are staying Uptown for three nights and CBD for three nights:

Thursday Dinner: Superior Grill, close to our hotel, not too thrilled but it makes sense post-JF.
Friday: Ye Olde College Inn
Saturday: Dante’s
Sunday: Bacchanal
Monday Lunch: Willie Mae’s
Monday Dinner: Gautreau’s
Tuesday: Napoleon House

I think this is a good mix of styles and price points; I understand the Fest food is pretty nice and we will get there early enough to make Fest food our "brunch."

I still want to try Marti's and Oxalis [feedback?]... and have yet to get to dine at CH faves Maritza's and Clancy's -- but I think I can fit those into my October trip.

Any feedback appreciated.
