2nd Annual SF Food Bloggers Bake Sale & Taiwanese American Cultural Festival 5/14/11 report

hhc | May 14, 201106:03 PM

I went to both the 2nd Annual SF Food Bloggers Bake Sale & the Taiwanese American Cultural Festival Sat 5/14/11. I went to 18 Reasons in the Mission.

Tons of stuff to buy at the Bake Sale. I met Blogger Irvin (eat the love) & Anita (dessertfirstgirl). Got Irvin's marble cookies ($8 bag) & brownie ($4), & loaf of Meyer Lemon-Rosemary No-Knead Sourdough Bread from Penni Wisner ($8).

Did anyone else go?

Then I took Bart to Powell & walked to Union Square. They had 2 food booths & everything was cheap ($1-3) & looked good. I ate elsewhere so I didn't buy anything except a Taiwanese tamale ($3) that I will eat maybe tomorrow. Taiwanese sausage $1 ea, Hakka rice cake (vegie) $2/3pcs; tea egg $1; egg roll $1; Hakka special mei-chi meat rice $3; Hakka fried rice noodles $3; cotton candy $2, I did take pics of other people's dishes I will share. Anyone else go?
