With a multi-course, modern Kaiseki early dinner planned at one of the hottest table in town - the Michelin 2* 'DEN'. A lighter lunch just to tie us over was in order.
Once again, for this frugal 'White-walker' Toronto visitor, my foodie friend brought me to somewhere close by ( Azabujuban ), unique and different. Hand pulled Soba noodle and Tempura at a 200+ years old establishment!
Known for their famous white soba - Sarashini Soba. This was my obvious choice even though there were some other seasonal specialty soba on their menu.
My meal consisted of some Tamagoyaki ( sweet egg omelette ) to start with, followed by a Clam Soba in soup plus a single huge Kumura prawn Tempura as side.
Simple, delicious and filling comfort food at a historical setting! A great start and experience to the second day of my culinary adventure!
