This relatively new Yakitori joint inside the Roppongi Hill complex was selected for my first meal by my foodie friend because it was within walking distance to my accommodation. Receiving pretty high rating and positive reviews from Tabelog ( 3.98 rating )...etc. The chef/owner, a prodigy of a famed yakitori master from Nagoya?, offers only an Omakase course menu with a ' head to tail ' theme!
Apart from the slightly under-done heart dish, every other dish was executed near flawlessly. Perfectly grilled/broiled with negligible burning or over-charring, the charcoal aroma and taste was most pronounced and enjoyable. Seasoning was spot-on. Strict eating instructions were provided by the chef....as offered, with salt, with salt plus lemon....etc.
Course/parts offered: Thigh, Gizzard, Skin, Quail Eggs, Shitake Mushroom, Heart, Ginko Nuts, Fried Tofu, Wings, Rice and Soup, Tails, Meat Balls.
BTW, after this meal, I'm so hooked on eating grated Daikon with premium soya sauce!
A great start to a week long eating binge!
