May 2019 COTM: Nigella Kitchen

Westminstress | May 1, 201901:31 PM     3

Welcome to the May 2019 Cookbook of the Month! We will be cooking from Nigella Kitchen by Nigella Lawson.

This is our master thread for the books. Please use it to share thoughts and inspiration, ask questions, chat about ingredients, consider our favorites from the books, and form conclusions as we wrap up the month.

Please use the threads below to report on recipes:

QUANDARIES, pages 22-125: Includes the chapters What's for Supper?, Hurry Up! I'm Hungry!, and Easy Does It.

MORE QUANDARIES, pages 126-219: Includes the chapters Cook it Better, My Sweet Solution, and Off the Cuff.

COMFORTS, pages 220-349: Includes the chapters Chicken and its Place in My Kitchen, A Dream of Hearth and Home, and At My Table.

MORE COMFORTS, pages 350-471: Includes the chapters The Solace of Stirring, The Bone Collection, Kitchen Pickings, and The Cook's Cure for Sunday-night-itis.

Finally, I would like to extend a special welcome to anyone new to Cookbook of the Month (COTM) or returning after a break. This is an inclusive community for home cooks of all levels, even if you're brand new to cooking! We learn a lot as we cook together, and we are thrilled when newcomers join us for the camaraderie and shared learning of COTM. If you're new, all you have to do is cook a recipe from the book and post your report on the corresponding thread, with a photo if you wish. Happy cooking to all!
