I just got around to reading yesterdays Food section in Newsday.
Dangnabbit, Erica Marcus gets all points right. Spot on. Not that we've ever gotten anything less from Erica.
We start the new year with a suggestion to "Cook", see #10:

Because I agree, home cooking trumps anything presently available in our restaurants, I continue to read a "revisiting" review of Snaps American Bistro.
Erica expertly writes about how people are pleased by "big portions that are appealingly described as well priced". The closing is an appeal for "fresher and better executed".

I then smile as I see Marge Perry provide a pork Marsala recipe, exactly as one finds listed on menus as "veal Marsala"...
