I've had a 375mm bottle Pierre Sparr Pinot Gris Reserve 2005 of this in my frig for a very long time. I'm assuming it is past its prime, but I'd like to see if it is stilled drinkable enough for me to open for a solo meal sometime soon. What would be a good food pairing?
My closet (alas, not a wine cellar) contains quite a few bottles of sweet French white wines: Monbazillacs from 2004 and Gaillacs from 2006 vintage. Still good? If so, drink soon, or can I still hold them?
