Hello, my girlfriend and I will be going to Japan around mid March for a couple of weeks. We haven't figured out our itinerary yet but we'll probably be visiting Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. Other places are certainly possible. I've just started researching the restaurants and it's been pretty overwhelming so far!
Can anyone please recommend some of their top picks? We're a bit late in the game so ideally places that aren't too difficult to get a reservation. I'm open to high-end restaurants and hole-in-the-walls. Here's our wishlist:
-Michelin fine dining experience (made a lunch reservation at Narisawa for the sake of securing something but to be honest, I've barely done any research on this yet)
-high end traditional sushi
-modern creative sushi
-different types of ramen, including tsukemen
-Kobe beef and Matsusaka beef (is it worth traveling to their respective cities for these?)
-fun izakaya place
-cocktails and sake
Thank you! Any help is very much appreciated.
