Two new restaurants recently opened in Margate. The first, Fisch Kitchen, a casual, comfortable, byob, seafood place with top-notch food, where you order at a take-out window and eat under cover at funky picnic tables. The menu changes daily based on the availability of fresh seafood. Everything we ate over three meals, from crab cakes to smoked scallop salad, roasted black sea bass, shrimp and apple salad to blueberry tart and chocolate chip cookies, was fresh and beyond delicious.
The second, Mangos, is a freshly painted space where Dune used to be. We enjoyed chips with fresh green salsa. The grouper, steamed in banana leaf served over coconut rice was tasty as was the Columbian Tipical, grilled flank steak (skirt steak on menu, but it was 86'd) with rice, beans and a fried egg.
