i was recently in chicago (last week)from florida ,and i have to rave about 2 restaurants...First i had lunch at a quaint Greek restaurant downtown ,named Papagus .Simply delectable! The appetizer octopus, the flaming cheese, all exquisite! The main meal was the chicken which was incredibly tender-Just a wonderful little place that i would gladly return to.The second rave goes to Rose Angelis in Lincoln Park;what energy in that place, yet perfectly conducive to intimate conversation. The wine selected was perfect (a fruity Chianti) ,and complemented out pasta dish beautifully .Another great place.I enjoy travel and usually do New York this time of year-i have to say that Chicago "does food" as well as NYC in my book.Luckily i live in Fl ,however,or would have to start countig those delicious calories !! (more food there, more clothes there )
hats off Chicago -i'll be back!
