SO & I are visiting Manhattan. Staying at Lotte (Madison & 50th) and am looking for East coast shellfish & finfish. Have lived in Bay Area for 20+ years and need my fix of bluefish, Eastern oysters & crab..., the things that I really miss. Cuisine is open, budget is < $100 person + wine/drinks for dinner and <$50 per for lunch. Will be there on a Wednesday & Thursday.
Will most likely go to Russ & Daughters Cafe (I know it's not Midtown East, but, need to go there regardless) and Grand Central Oyster Bar for lunch.
Thinking about Benoit, Momofuku Nishi, Danji. Is anyone doing smoked bluefish? Welcome other recommendations and thoughts re my short list?
