I was looking for someplace with a fun, relaxed atmosphere to share dinner and drinks with a small group (about 10) on my birthday, preferably in Park Slope. I knew that I'd been told to stay away from 2 Boots in the past, but I wandered in yesterday and found that I actually kinda liked the atmosphere--granted, there were none of the screaming kids in earshot that this board has warned about in the past, so maybe my brief experience there was not representative of what it's usually like? I still haven't tried the food--is it that much of a deal-breaker? If we go, it'll be late-ish (around 8 or 9) on a Saturday night.
Any suggestions of better spots-or reassurance that this sounds like a good choice-are welcome. Price is an issue, so staying under $30/person would be ideal.
