Was 1967 a good year for Beaulieu?

I spied a crate of 1967 George Latour Beaulieu Founder's Private Reserve Cabernet today.

The story on the bottle is that this was George Latour's first California wine. $30 for 375 mL.

I probably will buy a bottle just for nostalgia's sake. But what do others know about this wine?

Was 1967 a good year for cabernet in California? Was Latour's first experiment a success or a dud?

Googling has turned up scant information, other than that other wine shops have sold this vintage for $90 (and even then, it's not clear what size bottle the $90 is).
