Since I live literally down the street from the place, I grew accustomed to a sign on the building that housed the defunct Green Apples that said, "Coming Soon." (It has said that for the past 7 years). Lately, I have been seeing an unusual amount of activity over there. They fixed up a nice outdoor patio with a fence around it, and they are sprucing things up. The other day, I noticed a sign that says "1730 wine bar coming soon." This time, it may really be coming soon as their website shows they are hiring servers and acts like they are already open. As far as I can tell it is not a chain. https://1730winebar.com/

Anyway, it is at the corner of Terrace Avenue and William Street. I am looking forward to trying it. And hey! If they are going for a cocktail loungey kind of vibe, maybe they will let me DJ on Saturdays.
