Hi, I am taking 8 girls into Manhattan for my 15th birthday. I want to go to a rooftop restaurant (or another oudoor restaurant with a view). Not looking to spend a ton of money. Had thoughts of going to an earlier dinner since the rooftop restaurants often turn into more of a bar scene later and then going for dessert somewhere else. I'm looking for somewhere with a cool vibe. Any suggestions?
Hotel Chantelle is pretty nice and more laid back than the midtown crop of roof bars. For dessert, Il Laboratorio del Gelato is very close by. Or if you want to stretch out your evening by waiting on line for an hour, you can go to Morgenstern's.

Look at Press at the Ink48 hotel.
Yotel
Outdoors seating at The Highline Hotel. (Not roof)
Gaonnuri for Korean BBQ - the hibachi is in the middle of the table for the meat or seafood to be cooked right there. The waitress will do it, or you can try it yourself. It is not outdoors but is up high with a great view of the city. You can dress up or down, as you wish. Then go downstairs to Besfren - or Spot Dessert - for big instagrammable desserts. Won't be too expensive since you won't be drinking.
