I have a friend that has a request to make a "french vanilla cheesecake" from scratch. The problem is...we don't know what makes "french vanilla" different than vanilla. Does anyone have a definate answer on this?

I have even called the folks at Jello, I figured...they make vanilla pudding AND french vanilla pudding...they should know!

(They didn't)
