I have to agree with the other foodies out there on this one. The interior of this space is really comfortable and intimate. Low ceilings and romantic lighting make this place a greate place to take a date or celebrate a special evening. I have never had trouble parking in the garage and they do have free valet parking.

Be prepared to ForkOver some cash for your lunch or dinner at 131. It is not a cheap place by any means, but you get what you pay for at this place. The meals are consistently good quality and they never rush you through your dinner to turn over a table.

For appetizers try the Cast Iron Scallops served with Lemon Butter over a Reggiano & Herb Polenta Cake. It's is great to share. 131 Main features a wonderful "Soup of the day" and great seasonal vegetables as well as other tasty sides such as a wild rice salad served with pecans, golden raisins and a light curry sauce.

I have tried the crab cakes which are loaded with lump crabmeat and served with a tasty mustard based sauce. Beware though that several of the dishes can be a bit salty at 131 Main so you may want to ask for dressings on the side, or for them to go easy on the salt. I have found this to be true of their location in Ballantyne as well.

Another wonderful dish is the Thai style steak salad. This is a surprising "salad" with cabbage, peanuts, avacado, tomato, carrot, noodles and a dressing with a little spicy kick. For a change ask your server to substitute seared/rare tuna or the fish of the day! Again try the dressing on the side and add it to your liking.

People rave about the piled high Awesome Roast Beef Sandwich where the beef is Medium Rare served Au Jus, with a mound of Hand Cut Fries!

Another nice feature of 131 is their outside dining space with water fountain. It is a great place to people watch and enjoy a bottle of wine. 131 Main features 1/2 price bottle specials on Wednesdays.
