12kg Whole Pork Leg - what am I going to do with it?!

I found this whole pork leg in the grocery store. For $20 it seemed like a steal. But what in God's name am I going to do with it all! I live in Ontario and it's cold out so I won't be cooking it on the Weber kettle. There's no way I can fit such a huge joint in my freezer, so i have to cook it.

All I can think to do is to roast it very slowly in the oven. It will take a loooong time presumably. Has anyone ever roasted such a huge joint? With success? Are there any other suggestions? Curing it sounds a bit daunting.
