So... we're back! Stayed @ the W New Orleans; what a blast! Here is a list of restaurants that we went to, and thanks to everyone for your suggestions.
Lemongrass @ the Int'l House: Decent Asian-N.O. fusion. Service friendly and attentive.
Brigtsen's: WOW!!! Small restaurant, but what great food! The concierge at the hotel said casual attire was fine. We went in shorts. DONT MAKE THAT MISTAKE!!! While Mrs. Brigtsen was very "cool" with it, we felt uncomfortable. Every man had a jacket on!
The Grill room @ Windsor Ct. Hotel: This was the best dining experience we had while in N.O.! Great white glove service paired with a fantastic tasting menu! Get the wine flight also!
Zoe Bistro @ W hotel: Only ate breakfast here. Decent, but not worth the money.
Mr B's: Went there for lunch. Decent food, but the service could be a little more attentive.
Arnaud's: The worst overall dining experience we had! Went for brunch on Sunday. Food was decent but the service was horrendous. The waiter kept forgetting about us! Finally had to have the captain wait on us!
Cafe Du Monde: Are these really the best beignets???????
Central Grocery: 2 Muffelettas for the plane ride home!
Deanie's in the FQ: My wife really loves the BBQ shrimp from them! Decent no-frills food. U really get a lot for the money!
So, that was our culinary trip! We'll probably do another one in December!
BTW, heard from an old guy sitting on a porch... Uglesichs will not probably open until around Oct 21st. Something about the owner has an ill family member.
Next time we're there we'll have to try some other one's on my list, but we'll save that for another day!
