We are big fans of 12 Street--have been going there for years. The service is very personable and consistent. The food has been great for years.
But the chef seems to make some odd choices. He got rid of the WONDERFUL salmon in lemon-butter in place of a less-spectacular Meditteranean-style salmon. Other than that, the menu is consistently good--if VERY slow to change. The pasta, however, is lackluster, predictable and uncreative. Since it is the only vegetarian entree, one would think that a little more thought could go into making it special.
