I hadn't been to 101 Fox Hills in a little while and was pleasantly surprised with my recent visit. An article from the midtown lunch website perked my interest. The menu featured their beef rolls, soup dumplings and pan fried dumplings as well as green onion pancakes. The soup dumplings may not match SGV matters, but good enough, but I loved the rolls and pan frieds.
Talking with the manager, it seems the average mall visitor does not go for the above mentioned items, but 101 has smartly added easily identifiable noodle dishes (No dan dan men, though), etc.
All we Westsiders who continually complain about the lack of quality Chinese food on the Westside need to come by and get a local fix of beef rolls and dumplings. Without question, this will become a regular visit for me.
Re: Parking, At 5 pm on a Thursday I found parking in the structure relatively easily.
