The 101 Coffee Shop revisited

We went a couple of months ago on a Saturday for breakfast. It was slow, quiet and the egg dishes were pretty good. Subsequently, there were some pretty negative posts here so we checked it out yesterday. Arrived around 10:30 am. Placed was packed. Waited 10 minutes before being seated. Our clocks weren't reset yet so we ordered salads--tostada and cobb. Immediately noticed a big change in the noise level. Everyone was talking, so it was loud. To compensate for this, the juke box had been turned up further adding to the noise factor. Food was OK. Coffee and iced tea were good. Service was good considering the packed house. I'd be remiss if I did not mention the visual display. Among the locals and tourists, there was a woman with dirty blonde extensions and about a 30" differential between her bare waist and her gravity defying breasts; in the rest room, there was a guy with model looks washing off copious amounts of makeup "from last night's Halloween party;" and there was Minnie Driver sans makeup looking very casual and very good. In all, food 4, looks 9. It's on Franklin a couple blocks East of Gower.
