A place that many of you probably don't know about is the 100 LB Seafood Hot Pot Buffet near the corner of Garvey and Garfield in Monterey Park. It's easy to miss this restaurant as it's on the second floor of the building housing the Hong Kong Supermarket, and overlooks the market. Furthermore, they haven't bothered to take down the signs from the previous restaurant, called M.E. Restaurant, nor have they taken down the old restaurant's hours of operations, which no longer apply. There's nothing particularly unique about the ingredients that are available, with the typical seafood, meat, and other items available. What does make this restaurant noteworthy is their broth, which is the best I've had at a hotpot restaurant. Actually you can choose from three different broths--spicy tofu, non spicy, and I believe pickled. I had the non spicy broth, and I found it to be absolutely tasty.
