(100) Dumpling House in Flushing- some changes

This place(at College Point Ave and 41st ave)is still changing. It seems that they've shaved their dumpling menu(no more egg yolk/pinenuts dumplings :( nor boiled peanuts). They offer beef noodle soup, wonton noodle soup, some baos, some thick Chinese sesame pancakes with pork jerky and scallions. There's a list of Chinese hot pot dishes(including a Chinese herbal lamb belly soup, and another dish, more daringly some other deer part that is considered a winter tonic...) and a list of sauteed dishes from Gingko nuts with fresh lily bulbs to ostrich meat and venison.

I only got to try the beef noodle soup. At $3.50 it was enough to be my dinner. It may be bland to the westerner(my friend didn't appreciate it as much as I did) as it wasn't the kind that's cooked with soy sauce and heavy spices, but it was to my taste bud perfectly prepared. The beef chunks were tender, the broth aromatic. It's more like a Pho soup than a Beef Stew. The fresh noodles were excellent.

We hope that they'll put back on the menu the egg yolk/pinenut dumplings as well as the boiled peanuts.
