10" Springform to 9x13" Pan?

Hello all -- a question from a very novice baker. I have a recipe for an olive oil torte that I'm dying to try. The recipe calls for baking it in a 10" springform pan, which unfortunately I don't have on hand. Should I try it in a 9x13 baking pan, or would I be better off to wait until I can pick up the springform?
