On my walk to work, I noticed a local store with a great deal on plantains- 10 for a pound sterling! My husband has a terrible cold, so I was going to make a heavily spiced carrot soup for dinner. So a few sliced and pan fried in my cast iron skillet w a bit, but not too much oil, will be nice floating in it. That might take up 2 of them. What to do with the other 8?
