(1) Tibet and (2) expensive and romantic

Gypsy Boy | Oct 10, 200209:40 AM

Just back from three weeks in Tibet. Yikes! If there appears to be any interest, I will post a brief review of eating in Tibet (hint: don't bother saving your pennies).
However, because I just met the love of my life on my trip, I need more immediate and local advice. She's flying in (from LA, not Tibet) the end of the month. I'd like to surprise her by taking her to the best we can offer. But my experience of "the best" is limited to food, which is more what I focused on before this. I'm not terribly experienced at high-end restaurants that are/can be wonderfully romantic. (No; even I have not been blind to romantic possibilities at Everest [a top choice not only because of food but also because of its appropriately Tibetan-ish name] or Trotter's or several others.)
Now, yes, I understand that we could go to White Castle and have a romantic dinner (well, maybe not White Castle), but the point here is to invite you all to recommend wonderfully intimate or cozy or [fill in your definition of romantic] places to take her, price being a minor concern?
We are in your debt.
