I think the best meal(s) I've had have been at Guy Savoy a few times and Twist, more recently. Lotus is great, we almost always make that a destination but now more often at lunch. My one experience at Raku was bad enough to say never again if I am paying. “E” by Jose Andres was a lot of fun and a great experience but more than one course went back barely touched.

+1 for Twist. It’s my current favorite Vegas restaurant. I wasn’t as impressed with Guy Savoy....for those prices I prefer Robuchen, but that may be because I love the bread and dessert carts.

Yeah. That bread cart at Robuchon is incredible. I've eaten at 3 Michelin star restaurants all over the world and never seen anything like it. I was there when they still had the 5 course menu and it was fantastic.

          Bumping up this conversation slightly.

We'll be in Las Vegas for 1 night next week. Lotus of Siam is all booked for when we're there....how is it walking-in as a party of 2? Any chance to get a table? Could be lunch or dinner on Monday.

Would love other suggestions of restaurants (E or SE Asian influenced preferred) to try instead or in addition to L of S.

          Thanks!

Dave, I don't know what the policy is at the East Flamingo location, but the E. Sahara branch never took reservations for lunch, and I'm guessing it's the same policy.

Unfortunately, Chada Thai is closed on Monday.

Some options: Kaiseki Yuzu has reasonably priced omakase, meat-oriented hot pots, and of course, kaiseki meals as well. https://www.yuzukaiseki.com/

Yui Edamae Sushi is open for dinner on Mondays but it can be expensive.

Weera Thai is perhaps the best alternative to Lotus for Northern Thai dishes, and is open for lunch and dinner on Mondays.

Thanks Dave! Any good Chinese options? Or Middle Eastern? We live in Bay Area and often travel to LA area, so we don't have to have Thai food or even Asian food if there are things we should try instead.

District One is good, especially for seafood specials.

Chinese — it is a branch of an L.A. restaurant — Chengdu Taste. Well-balanced Sichuan food.

I’m not aware of any superior Middle Eastern in Las Vegas. So often, Imwish there were.
